First publication of the lab!

Better Together: Interorganellar Communication in the Regulation of Proteostasis

We’re thrilled to share our latest publication, “Better Together: Interorganellar Communication in the Regulation of Proteostasis,” now out in the journal Contact CTC. This is a meaningful milestone—our lab's first publication and my first corresponding review!

In this article, we delve into the complex network of chaperones and folding factors that uphold proteome functionality, a fundamental requirement for cellular health. Moving beyond the traditional view of proteostasis as an organelle-specific process, we highlight how proteostatic mechanisms are woven together across organellar boundaries. This interorganellar crosstalk, which occurs through signaling pathways or direct contact site interactions, reveals a new layer of coordination in maintaining cellular balance.

For those interested in the intricate details and implications of this cross-organellar communication, check out the full article [here].
