2023 - What a year!

It has been an exciting journey for our lab so far, and 2023 has been characterized by numerous professional and personal highlights.

While a personal highlight for me was the wedding with Verena, our move to Umeå, and the purchase of our house, we also both got our positions at Umeå University and established our labs. Our lab not only celebrated its foundation in 2023, but we were also able to acquire our first funding and advertise PhD and PostDoc positions for the first time.

In addition to three published first authorships, I was also able to publish 2 of my photos. In particular, the publication of my astrophotograph of Bode's and Cigar Galaxy as NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) was a highlight for me.

The coming year will be very exciting for our lab, and I hope that we can continue to celebrate such great successes in 2024
